Website designs for photographers and photo studios

A photographer is hired on the strength of their pictures. Your website is your portfolio: big, fast-loading galleries, clear packages and an easy way to check if you are free on a date. It should feel like your style, not like everybody else's.

What a photographer website needs

  1. Portfolio by category

Weddings, pre-wedding, babies, products, events, passport and studio work.

  2. Packages

What each package includes: hours, photographers, album, edited photos, video, drone.

  3. Check a date

A form with event date, city and type, sent to your WhatsApp.

  4. Delivery timeline

How many weeks for edited photos, album and film.

  5. Studio services

Passport photos, framing, printing, if you run a studio.

  6. About you and your team

Your style and experience in a few lines.

Tips before you go live

  • Put only photos you have the right to show, and ask couples and families before publishing their photos.
  • Commercial drone shoots need a registered drone and, for most drone sizes, a remote pilot certificate under the Drone Rules, 2021. Check the airspace zone map before every shoot.
  • Resize photos for the web. Full-size camera files make the site slow and can be downloaded by anyone.

Questions

Will big photos make the site slow?

Photos are resized for phones and load only when the visitor scrolls to them.

Can clients see their photos on the website?

Private client galleries are better on Google Drive or a gallery service, linked privately. The website is your public portfolio.

Can I add new work myself?

Yes. Each shoot can be a Blogger post with photos.

Which platform is the website made for?

Every design is made for Blogger only, Google’s free website platform. It is not for WordPress, Wix or any other platform. You need a free Google account and a Blogger blog (we can set it up with you). There is no hosting bill, you can change text, prices and photos yourself from the Blogger dashboard, and your own domain name can be connected to it.
